Yakima Youth Symphony Orchestra Tuition Assistance: Supporting a student’s music education involves a significant financial commitment. The Yakima Youth Symphony Orchestra aspires to make the youth symphony opportunity possible for all qualified student musicians, regardless of capacity to pay tuition. The Christy Baisinger Yakima Youth Symphony Orchestra Tuition Assistance Fund was established in 2023 to provide student musicians with need-based tuition assistance. This fund recognizes, honors and celebrates Christy Baisinger for her many years inspiring student musicians and supporting live orchestral music in our community, including: working with the youth symphony, performing as a cellist with the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, working as a private cello teacher and working in schools.
