The Yakima Symphony Orchestra announces wage increases for its musicians for the first time in four years.

The wage increase was approved as part of the organization’s fiscal year 2027 budget by the Board of Directors on Jan. 29, 2026. The pay raises will take effect on July 1, 2026.

Under this new budget, musician wages increase between 13 and 27 percent, depending on a player’s position in the orchestra and the percentage of their contract accepted.
