Who Should Apply?
The Yakima Symphony Orchestra seeks violinists who demonstrate consistent musical excellence, strong ensemble skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive working environment. Winning candidates of titled positions (Assistant Concertmaster) should be prepared to lead their sections when called upon. This includes collaborating with the librarian and string principals on bowings, providing musical leadership, and setting a tone of professionalism and collegiality. All musicians are expected to bring reliability, professionalism, and a dedication to high artistic standards in both rehearsal and performance.
